  1. Sweeps From Guards

    • Most of the time is your starting point! From here, you'll explore different guard positions and the sweeps available from each one. Think of it as choosing which guard you want to work from
  2. Deep Half Guard

    • Usually You're deep under your opponent with a strong underhook. From here, you have access to sweeps like the Waiter Sweep to reverse the position
  3. Waiter Sweep

    • From here, if it shows up, from deep half guard, you can use the waiter sweep to off-balance and sweep your opponent to the side. timing beats strength
  4. De La Riva

    • You've got your De La Riva hook in place. open guard position gives you options to sweep, especially when you add wrist control
  5. Lasso

    • You've established a lasso guard, controlling one of your opponent's arms with your legs. sets up various sweeps to improve your position
  6. Half Guard

    • Usually You're on bottom in Half Guard. position has its own family of sweeps you can use to reverse your opponent. Don’t force it
  7. Closed Guard

    • If they frame, you've got your opponent locked in your closed guard. from here, you have several classic sweeps at your disposal like the kimura sweep, bump sweep, flower sweep, scissor sweep, and pendulum sweep. switch if it stalls
  8. Kimura Sweep

    • from closed guard, you can use the kimura grip to off-balance and sweep your opponent to the side
  9. Bump Sweep

    • Usually The Bump Sweep from Closed Guard uses a hip bump motion to create space and sweep your opponent
  10. Flower Sweep

    • beautiful sweep from closed guard uses a flower-like motion with your legs to sweep your opponent over. timing beats strength
  11. Opponent Stays Standing

    • Often Your opponent is standing while you're on the ground. situation calls for specific sweeps like the Tripod Sweep
  12. Tripod Sweep

    • Quick note: When your opponent stays standing, the Tripod Sweep uses your legs to trip them and bring them to the ground
  13. Scissor Sweep
