Flow outline
From The Top
- If they frame, quick note: the hunt begins here. you're on your feet, they're on theirs. is where you initiate the takedown and impose your will. don't wait—attack first and force them to react. switch if it stalls
Full Guard
- From here, they think they're safe. they're wrong. break their posture, control their arms, and hunt for submissions. if they defend, pass and crush them from the top
Side Control
- Crush them. Pin their shoulder to the mat, control their head, and isolate an arm. is where you set up your submissions—arm locks, chokes, or transition to mount for the finish
Front Turtle
- If it shows up, They're turtled up, trying to survive. Don't let them breathe. Attack the back, sink in hooks, or spin for a choke. is a vulnerable position—make them pay. Switch if it stalls
Open Guard
- Once set, usually they're in your guard but you're not closed. use your legs to control, off-balance, and attack. sweep them, submit them, or stand up and reset the hunt. switch if it stalls
Standing Back Control
- you've got their back and they're standing. is a kill position. lock in the body triangle, hunt for the choke, or take them down and finish on the mat
Side Control
- From here, same crushing control. isolate an arm, attack the neck, or transition to knee on belly. don't just hold—attack until they tap. don’t force it
Half Guard
- If they frame, they've got one leg trapped. pass it, smash through, or attack submissions from the top. if you're on bottom, sweep them or attack their legs. don’t force it
Full Guard
- From here, Back in the guard. Control, break posture, and hunt submissions. If they pass, you're in trouble—so don't let them. Switch if it stalls
