Submission Hunting
Relentless attack chains FROM every position. Every defense leads to another finishing opportunity. Flow between positions while CONSTANTLY threatening the tap.
Flow outline
Closed Guard System
- usually your hunting ground. from here, you control pace and set up devastating attacks. break their posture, isolate limbs, and hunt for finish. every movement they make should lead them deeper into your submission web
Omoplata
- If they frame, crush their shoulder. when they push your head away, trap that arm and wrap your legs around it. control their posture and crank that shoulder until they tap or you transition to next finish
Triangle
- Most of the time classic neck crusher. Push them off-balance, trap their arm and head between your legs, and squeeze until they surrender. If they defend, punish them with arm attacks
Teepee Triangle
- Once set, when it happens, a sneaky finish. when they hide their arm behind your leg, adjust your angle and lock up tight triangle variation. it catches them when they think they're safe
Americana/Armbar
- Key detail: from here, break their arm. when they defend triangle by protecting their trapped arm, isolate that limb and finish with either a shoulder lock or hyperextension. make them choose which joint they want to lose
Armbar
- Hyperextend that elbow. From omoplata forward roll, you end up in perfect position to attack arm. Control their posture and extend until they tap
Re-roll Omoplata
- Finish what you started. If they defend armbar from omoplata roll, circle back to shoulder lock. They can't escape hunt. Don’t force it
Gramby Roll To Triangle
- Quick note: A dynamic finish. Step over their head from omoplata, roll through, and lock up triangle. It's a fluid transition that catches them mid-defense
Top Side Control
- Once set, crushing pressure position. from here, you dominate their breathing and hunt for submissions. don't let them breathe - make them desperate to escape so you can capitalize
Mounted Triangle
- Most of the time Dominate from top. After snap down and back step, you end up mounted with their arm trapped. Lock up triangle and squeeze until they tap from most dominant position
Armbar Switch
- Once set, most of the time adapt and finish. when they stack or put wrong arm in, switch your attack to available limb. hunt whatever joint they give you
Side Control System
- pressure game. from top side, you smother them and hunt for submissions. if they make space, transition to better finishing positions. never let them rest
Butterfly Guard
- Key detail: an offensive guard. use your hooks to control their posture and set up sweeps to dominant positions. from here, you're always one move away from mount or their back
Half Butterfly Guard
- Quick note: A transitional control point. When you only get one hook in, use it to off-balance them and set up sweep. It's not where you stay - it's where you launch your attack from
Mount
- king position. From here, you have complete control and multiple finishing options. Don't just hold mount - attack constantly until they give you submission
Mount System
- finish them from top. in mount, you have multiple submission paths. attack neck, arms, or transition to their back. make every second in mount a nightmare for them. angle matters
Mount
- Once set, dominant finishing position. after sweeping from butterfly, establish heavy pressure and start hunting submissions immediately. don't let them recover from sweep
Mount System
- often finishing platform. from mount, you have access to all major submissions. control their hips, break their posture, and attack whatever they give you
Take The Back
- most dominant position. From butterfly, rotate with their hips and secure back control. Once you have their back, hunt is nearly over - finish them with chokes
Back System
- end of line. from back control, you have multiple choke options. secure your hooks, control their posture, and finish fight. is where hunts end
Triangle Choke Using My Arm
- Quick note: A sneaky finish. When they shoot for double unders, use your own arm to complete triangle. It's an unexpected attack that catches them in their own offensive attempt
Ezekiel Choke
- A brutal gi choke. Pull them down into your closed guard, slide your sleeve across their neck, and squeeze until they tap. It's a simple but devastating finish from guard
