Capitalizing on opponent mistakes from closed guard. Waiting for posts, postures, & defensive movements, then exploiting them w/ precise sweeps & submissions.

Flow outline

  1. Closed Guard

    • Often Your base position. Control their posture, wait for them to make a move. Don't rush—let them commit first
  2. Scissor Sweep

    • If they frame, when they lean or shift weight, scissor your legs to sweep. if they post out, that's your cue to transition. switch if it stalls
  3. Arm Bar

    • Most of the time Catch their arm when they overextend or post. Don't force it—wait for the arm to be exposed
  4. Triangle Choke

    • From here, usually trap their arm and head when they try to posture or defend. let them create the angle for you
  5. Triangle Choke

    • Once set, if they post to avoid a sweep, their arm is vulnerable. lock the triangle as they recover
  6. Pendulum Sweep / Flower Sweep

    • Once set, if it shows up, use their momentum against them. pendulum when they press forward, flower when they pull back
  7. Full Mount

    • Usually The reward for a successful sweep. Control and wait for their next mistake
  8. Cross Collar Choke

    • From here, when they posture up, their collar opens. slip your grips in and finish as they resist. timing beats strength
  9. Hip Bump Sweep

    • If they posture hard to escape a choke, bump their hips and roll them over. Don’t force it
  10. Kimura

    • If they frame, from here, when the hip bump fails and they base out, isolate that arm and lock the kimura. timing beats strength
  11. Pendulum Sweep

    • Often An offensive option when they're static. Create the angle, but be ready to counter their defense
  12. Flower Sweep

    • A reactive sweep. Wait for them to pull away, then use their momentum to sweep
