Systematically attack from closed guard position. If your opponent does x, you respond w/ y. Focuses on capitalizing on their posture, arm placement, & defensive reactions to secure sweeps, submissions, & back takes. Don't force it

Closed Guard
- you are in closed guard. your first job is to control your opponent's posture. if they stand up, you pull them back down when their second foot comes up
Side Scissor Position
- You have achieved Side Scissor Position. From here, you work to win battle for hip or head height. If you win hip height, you take back. If you win head height but their arm is trapped, you hit Pendulum Sweep. If they get their arm out to defend, you transition to Clamp Guard or attack with a Far Side Scissor Arm Bar or Pinch Headlock. If you can't win height battle, you go for a Flower Sweep or …

- You have taken back. Secure position
Pendulum Sweep
- You are executing Pendulum Sweep. Complete sweep to achieve a dominant top position
Clamp Guard
- Key detail: usually you have moved to clamp guard. from here, work to get to one hip, insert a knee, and break their posture. if they square up to prevent your hip entry, grab their wrist and move to a triangle attack
Rear Triangle
- You are setting up a Rear Triangle. Finish submission
Flower Sweep
- you are executing flower sweep. complete sweep to achieve a dominant top position
Armbar
- Usually You have secured an Armbar. Finish submission. Pay attention to posture
Far Side Scissor Arm Bar
- Often You are attacking with Far Side Scissor Arm Bar. If they start to wiggle free, transition to a Rolling Arm Bar. If they turn their arm away to avoid pressure, switch to a Kimura
Rolling Arm Bar
- If it shows up, You are transitioning to a Rolling Arm Bar. Complete submission. Pay attention to posture
Kimura
- Key detail: you have secured a kimura. finish submission
Pinch Headlock
- From here, when it happens, you have secured a pinch headlock. transition to a shoulder crunch to finish or create an opening
Shoulder Crunch
- From here, usually you are applying a shoulder crunch. use to off-balance your opponent and create submission opportunities
Triangle
- If they frame, when it happens, you have locked in a triangle. if they run from triangle, transition to an inverted armbar. otherwise, finish submission or transition to a kimura. pay attention to posture
Inverted Armbar
- you are transitioning to an inverted armbar. complete submission. timing over strength
Kimura
- You have transitioned to a Kimura from Triangle. Finish submission
Slide By
- Usually You have executed a Slide By pass. You have passed guard and achieved a dominant position
