- Once set, usually the foundation of leg attack positions. focus on controlling the legs to set up submissions
Inside Control
- If they frame, from here, control from inside the opponent's legs. set grips and control the knee line
Irimi Ashi
- From here, Basic inside leg entanglement. Control the near leg and keep pressure
Saddle
- Strong inside leg control position. Isolate one leg for heel hook attacks
Outside Control
- If it shows up, Control from outside the opponent's legs. Work to enter leg entanglements
Outside Ashi
- Often Basic outside leg entanglement. Control the far leg and work for submissions
50/50
- From here, usually symmetrical leg entanglement position. both fighters have equal control opportunities
Backside Control
- From here, control from behind the opponent's legs. work to enter strong finishing positions
Backside Double Trouble
- Advanced backside control position. Control both legs for multiple submission options
Knee Line Lost
- Once set, often position where knee line control is compromised. focus on regaining control or transitioning
80/20
- Asymmetrical leg entanglement. One fighter has dominant control for submissions. Switch if it stalls
