  1. Closed Guard

    • From here, if it shows up, start position. control opp with legs locked. options: attack, sweep, or defend their posture/pass. switch if it stalls
  2. Triangle

    • From here, Lock triangle from guard. Need angle and leg control. Finish by squeezing and adjusting angle
  3. Arm Bar

    • Armbar from guard. Isolate arm, hip out, secure position. Watch for stacking. Switch if it stalls
  4. Kimura

    • From here, from here, kimura sub. grip opp's wrist, figure-four lock. can sweep or submit from here
  5. Guillotine

    • Key detail: guillotine choke from guard. catch head and arm, lock hands, squeeze. watch for posture
  6. Sweep

    • From here, sweep opp from guard. use momentum, off-balance, come on top. setup from various grips. switch if it stalls
  7. Defence

    • Defending opp's attacks/passes from guard. keep guard, break posture, counter
  8. High Posture

    • Opp has high posture in guard. Hard to attack. Need to break down or counter their pass attempts
  9. Gorilla Chest

    • From here, often gorilla chest pass defense. opp presses chest. use frames, hip movement, create space
  10. Secure Arm Stack Clear Shoulder Square Up

    • Defense sequence: secure arm, stack opp, clear shoulder, square up. Regain guard control. Angle matters
  11. Clear Leg Switch Hip Knee Up Square Up Tripod Arm In Posture Up

    • often pass defense: clear leg, switch hips, knee up, square up, tripod, arm in, posture up. counter overhook
  12. Step Out Grab Knee Catch Far Arm 2on1 Elbow Tripod Posture Up

    • Once set, defense vs arm pull: step out, grab knee, catch far arm, 2on1 elbow, tripod, posture up. regain position. don’t force it
  13. Logsplitter Biceps Stand Up Hips Up Knee In Step Back Post Push Hips

    • Logsplitter pass: grip biceps, stand up, hips up, knee in, step back, post, push hips. Pass guard
  14. Passing Guard

    • Key detail: often successfully passed guard. now in side control or mount. control opp, attack
  15. Biceps Hip Step Up Stand Up Twist Shin

    • Pass attempt: grip biceps, control hip, step up, stand up, twist, shin pressure. Try to pass
  16. Stand Up Hip Forward Twist Knee Push Shin

    • Counter to leg grab: stand up, hip forward & twist knee, push shin. Defend sweep attempt. Angle matters
  17. Sweeps

    • Sweep opp from guard. Various techniques: scissor, flower, hip bump etc. Get on top
  18. Leg Across Post Arms On Hip Posture Up

    • Usually Sweep setup: leg across, post arms on hip, posture up. Create leverage for sweep
  19. Can Opener Biceps Grab Tripod Capture Head Sit Back Drive Head Down

    • Usually Can opener attack: biceps grab, tripod, capture head, sit back, drive head down. Submit from guard. Don’t force it
  20. Front Headlock
