Buzzsaw Passing

Andrew Wiltse Buzzsaw Passing notes

Flow outline

  1. Opponent is Seated

  2. Push their shoulder to bring them down

  3. Grab ankle(s) and pull up to flatten

  4. Opponent is Laying on Their Back

  5. Opponent's Knees Are Lined Up With Their Body

  6. X Pass

    • Grip the outside of their knee. Turn your hand so that you remove some of the slack. You don't HAVE to have the collar to pass but you can use it to sit them up so they are easier to turn. This is not a slow pass. * You can punch their leg to the side. If they have long legs, you can punch it down so it's easier to clear. Easier to clear --> worse posture after clearing
  7. Opponent's Legs Are Wide

  8. Torreando Pass

  9. Open With a Leg Drag

    • Doesn't matter whether or not you grab the near or far side leg
  10. Opponent is not moving much

  11. Jumping X Pass

    • Takes out your ability to knee slice if you fail but the momentum and pressure against their knees will keep them pinned
  12. Opponent tracks your leg so you can't swivel or windshield out

  13. Knee Slice
