Grapple Flows

About Grapple Flows.

The product, the team, and how our writing fits in — including why the site URL says /blog while the name stays the Journal.

Grapple Flows is a tool for grapplers who want their study to compound: voice notes, roll recaps, and instructionals turned into flowcharts you'll actually reopen between classes. If you train like your game is a system, not a highlight reel, you're the audience we built for.

The Grapple Flows Journal

The Grapple Flows Journal is where we publish longer-form writing on jiu-jitsu, training, and study — frameworks, habits, and occasional technique reads. Technically this feed lives at grappleflows.com/blog (routing and SEO on the main domain). "Blog" is just the URL; "Journal" is what we call it on the page because that's the voice we want.

What we write about

Three buckets, roughly:

  • Study habits. How to take notes, review rolls, and organize the half-formed ideas that come out of a single class.
  • Training frameworks. Position-first thinking, decision trees, and small mental models that make game-building feel less like guesswork.
  • Short reads on technique. Pieces that look at why something works rather than just how.

Cadence

New posts go up whenever something is genuinely worth saying — often a couple per month. If you'd rather pull than push, the RSS feed is the cleanest way to keep up with The Grapple Flows Journal.

Who writes it

Posts are written by the team building Grapple Flows. When a single person is on the keyboard, we use a byline; otherwise the company speaks as Grapple Flows. No AI-generated bulk and no ghostwriters.

Not a comments section

The Grapple Flows Journal is intentionally one-way. If a post sparks something — a counter-argument, a missing detail, a case it doesn't cover — bring it to the Discord or DM us on Instagram. The conversation is better there, and it doesn't get buried in spam.

Train with intention
